20% Time
Hello, this is my first real post, and my first time blogging ever. The ”20% time” area of this blog will be exclusively implemented to explain to you just what I do with 20% of my time (during my web class at least). Why 20%? This reasoning comes directly from a Google idea - each engineer is required to spend one day a week on doing something that they like working on.

Because I like the idea of manipulating a picture to create a completely new one, I have decided to use my time for the learning of Photoshop. I really think this would be a good investment of time because I can get a sampling of many different career choices at once that all stem from basic graphic design: drawing, animation, web design, advertising, etc. In short, I will be talking about my experiences in the learning and use of Photoshop.
Here is a picture from Lahiripartha that came in fourth place in a competition from Photoshoptalent :

My time during web class is used to learn about all about how to use Photoshop and use it well. One day a week (Tuesdays), I go through the Internet finding and using tutorials in order to learn all I need to know in order to become a proficient user of Photoshop. I really like using Tutorialized (It’s actually good for learning all kinds of computer programs)
Originally, I started off only copying tutorials (step by step) in order to simply learn the ropes. Now I am able to add my own details into the pictures in order to make my own, using techniques that I learned from the tutorial. Sometimes I even try to participate in some contests on Photoshoptalent.com (there is usually some helpful feedback on entries that I can use to improve my skills.)

The original picture was an “Open Book“ found through creative commons.
